CFMA Responds to Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF) Proposed Plan on Private Company Reporting

The Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF) has a proposed plan to establish a Private Company Standards Improvement Council, evaluating four different approaches designed to best address the needs of private companies. CFMA’s Emerging Issues Committee surveyed all CFMA members on this topic and more than 350 responded. The review of the survey results and comments informed CFMA’s response.

Revenue Recognition Exposure Draft Revised: What CFMs Need to Know

On November 14, 2011, FASB and IASB issued their Revised Exposure Draft on Revenue Recognition. Once finalized, it will replace most existing revenue recognition and construction cost accounting guidance under U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
